Texas Republicans are having a hard time redistricting their state. They can barely hear themselves nefariously chuckle over the rising outrage of Democrats and it's harshing their mellow.

Texas Republicans have responded to critics that the redistricting will continue until morale improves.

Redistricting was not actually the first choice of the Texas GOP to limit the voting power of Democrats, but they sadly felt that tossing progressive voters into the ovens would result in bad optics among independents come campaign time.

A funny thing happened as a result of my most recent cartoon...

I got called a racist.

It seems that a number of certain individuals felt that illustrating immigrants being released from a box was tantamount to reducing them to animals. (Strangely, I received no complaints about depicting MAGA as vermin.)

I suppose those unhappy virtue warriors would have been more approving of the cartoon had I drawn the immigrants being released from actual cages.

You know... the very kind of cages that Trump/ICE locks them up in, for absolutely no reason.

If and when the time comes that sanity retakes its hold on this country immigrants will return and more than a few will arrive surreptitiously in the back of unprepossessing vehicles which, if you think about it, would be just another kind of box.

I've often heard it said that the rich have the money and the time and the ability to plan for the future. Something the poor do not.
