Trump or Treat!

There is the sickest of ironies in this country that we're coming upon a event like Halloween, which relies on the free and copious abundance of candy for children, and many adults, while 40 million Americans are going to go hungry because they suddenly realized Trump took away their healthcare, too.

And all because billionaires needed lots more money and the GOP was all-too-willing to shovel it at them.

During the 2024 campaign for president there was a moment where President Joe Biden seemed to just wander away from a press event and was giving thumbs-up signs to apparently no one.... or so the story the conservative media pushed on the public by selectively cropping the video that actually showed Mr. Biden was addressing a nearby parachutist.

And, yet, Mr. MRI began genuinely wandering the halls of a staged event in Japan this weekend, his eyes perhaps searching for a McDonalds in the imagined distance, and the conservative media predictably looks the other way.

There's also recent footage of Donald oh-so-very-gingerly inching down a flight of stairs from Air force One. Reporting indicates Trump is desperately afraid of falling on stairs probably not just because the physical damage he would suffer but because the late-night pundits would gleefully play the footage over and over and over with accompanying music and sound effects.

He's bound to take a tumble eventually, and we'll be waiting.

And, if you hadn't heard, car washes are the new tax dodge for the uber-wealthy. The GOP's Big Beautiful Bullshit bloated depreciation to the extent that car washes can be designed to lose money in a way that effectively reduces your cumulative tax bills to zero.

Basically just how Trump used the real estate market to avoid taxes. Imagine that.
