During a morning walk this morning I came to a dismal conclusion...
Trump will eventually tear down any federal edifice he chooses as he tries to rebuild everything in his own image. He did it with the East Wing and there's suspicion he'll bulldoze the Kennedy Center rather than suffer the embarrassment of having his name stripped off.
Okay, suppose he DOES decide to level the Kennedy Center tomorrow. Who could stop it? Especially if the demolition site is surrounded by Trump's ICE goons. The same goes for the Lincoln or Jefferson Memorials, or the White House itself. It's an insane possibility, isn't it?
So what was at the top of the news when I returned from my walk? The DOJ was told that Trump could destroy the Statue of Liberty if he so chose. As long as he did it quickly, before anyone could stop him.
In any cookbook, this is a recipe for disaster.

Why is the destruction of the Statue of Liberty even a concern of Trump? Unless he's tired of all those nasty old political cartoons featuring the grand dame giving him Freedom's Finger.
Or, in all likelihood, it's that the Statue is a symbol of safe harbor to the oppressed peoples of the world.
Yeah, that's probably it.

CA Rep. Ted Lieu (D) recently asked the all-purpose-tool and SecofState Marco Rubio if he'd ever noticed Trump sleeping during cabinet meetings.
Rubio, who in 2016 described Trump as "the most vulgar person ever to aspire to the presidency", who recently wore shoes several sizes too large because Trump gave them to him and he found himself unable to object like a normal person would, looked Mr. Lieu in the eye and defended his mob boss by saying "I have no idea what a narcoleptic pedophile looks like". (I'm paraphrasing, of course. He, in essence, said "Nothink! I know NOTHINK!")
I really, really wish that Congressman Lieu would have gone on to ask Little Marco if Trump had ever suffered an explosive warp-core breech in his Spider-Man pull-ups during a cabinet meeting. Just to have him on record.
Oh, and does Trump still beat his wife?
