Quick reminder:

The Second Amendment was not, repeat, NOT about defending Democracy from tyranny. It was designed to allow Southern states to run slave patrols. That's what the "well-regulated militia" part is about. It was a necessary add to get the South to sign on to the Bill of Rights.

The problem of armed yokels having free access to guns so alarmed the Founders,even back then, that they had to actually address it with an Amendment, right beside freedom of religion and freedom to protest.

The 2nd doesn't say "Everyone gets to own a gun" because some of those "everyone's" could be the slaves themselves.

Militia's only.

The biggest lie about guns ever told to the American public is that armed citizens will protect our republic from tyrants. That is a blatant lie meant to bring out the Rambo is us but, in practical terms, was never, ever possible.

The 2nd has been subverted over the decades by the very people who will happily shoot you dead today should you try to resist the new fascism. Contemporary Americans are, in general, the new slaves.

America is, according to this administration, a slave state.

Resist to the end.

The one likely Republican candidate for Governor of Minnesota looked at the polling for the GOP, said "Nope!", and pulled out of the race today. He knew he was not only going to be pissing into the wind but it was going to be a CAT5 ICE-y polar vortex.

This is a bellwether moment. There is no doubt other Republican candidates are now looking over their shoulders and I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to spend more time with their family this year, too.
