The Olde In-Out, Trump-style.
The following is the entire text of Donald Trump's Veteran's Day message posted on his Truth Social platform yesterday:

As eloquent as always.

Dear MAGA;
First, what are you doing here? This is a place of deep, reflective progressive ideals. Go starch your white sheets until you get the perfect fit for your pointy little heads or polish your assault rifles until they gleam in the glow of a blazing cross.
But, while you're here, let me ask you.... are you finally understanding that Trump doesn't care about you? I mean, at all. Are you figuring out that lawless assaults on random ethnic groups isn't going to lower the price of food or end the war in Ukraine? Is it clear Trump has no respect for this country's traditions, especially its historic architecture? Are you finally admitting to yourself that Trump only cares about profit, for either himself or his rich buddies, while your nana is slowly going blind because she can't afford her insulin?
Either way, leave a message in the Comments. Extra points forecastle creativity.

As a former cat-owner I'm beginning to understand something about myself, and that is that I was a bad cat-owner.
I wasn't cruel or mean to them, I just didn't understand the long-term effects of not always being emotionally available. This goes double for marriages, BTW.
Cats, and I say this from lay research, take social cues from their owners. I know people who treat their cats like their own children and those kitties are almost to a one friendly, happy cats.
I, on the other hand, have spent the better part of my cat-owning days at the art board or in front of the computer, only tending to the moggies when necessary. As a result, my cats were mostly eating/sleeping/pooping machines. This suited me but it was a disservice to the animals.
The cats I've owned who had any sort of a playful, friendly nature were strays who arrived already socialized and who proceeded to love on me regardless of whatever I was doing. That was okay, too, though they quickly learned I was pretty much of a dud as an owner.
I like cats, they're fascinating creatures, but my creative outlets take precedence and always will. So, and perhaps I doest protest too much, it's kittyless I shall remain. Which is better for all involved.
One more note on this subject: I have suffered from idiomatic high blood pressure for years (moderate). Since Angel passed I am sleeping much better and living life without the cloud of cat-related angst floating over me. Here's hoping that this helps my blood pressure problem and I can continue to enjoy life and its many blessings for many more years to come.
