 Since
1956, when the words "In
God We Trust" was
added to our money as part
of an anti-communist fervor,
the dollar has lost about
80% of its value due to
inflation. I guess that
was the intended purpose
as it sure kept them dad-blasted
commies away.
Commies aside, it's really
a bit presumtuous to put
such a high-falutin' phrase
on anyone's money, let
alone ours. I mean, does
anyone honestly think god
would want his name associated
with a piece of currency
like the dollar? Not only
does it power the deadliest
war machine in the known
universe but it's also
instrumental in a consumer-driven
economic system whose ultimate
goal seems to be the total
destruction of our ecosytem.
But what do I know? Maybe
it's just a place-holder
until Republicans find
a way to get their beloved
god's picture on the money,
too.

a little in my mouth.

Speaking of people who
are lousy with money,
House Republicans are demanding
at least
$2 trillion in spending
cuts before they'll allow
President Obama to raise
the spending limit by
the same $2 trillion. Only
trouble is, they can't
seem to come up with $2
trillion in cuts.
So they won't let the president
raise the debt limit to
meet their demands because
their
own list doesn't meet
their own demands. Thank
you, GOP.
Footnote: As Dow Jones
begins to tank as a result
of the games the GOP is
playing with the debt limit
it looks like this game
of
chicken is going to the
prez. Three guesses on
whom the Republicans will
blame
all this rancorous lunacy.

climbing over the border fence to ridicule

security, but fail to mention that, ahem, the guy was
